Seared Tuna with Wasabi Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 oz. Tuna steaks
- 1 1/4 cup White wine
- 1 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 cup Cilantro leaves
- 1/4 cup Onions (chopped)
- 2 tbl. Wasabi paste
- 2 tbl. Lime juice
- 1 tbl. Olive oil
- 1 tbl. Soy sauce
- 1 Ginger root (crushed)
- Seasoning
Method
- Add the lime, white wine, ginger, garlic and onion to a saucepan and cook over a medium heat.
- Reduce heat, simmer and reduce.
- Strain out the onions, garlic and ginger and throw away.
- Add the soy sauce and wasabi sauce.
- Then add the butter while stirring constantly.
- Gently stir in the cilantro leaves.
- In a separate bowl, combine the olive with a tablespoon of the sauce.
- Brush the tuna steaks with the mixture.
- Place under a hot grill, turning every couple of minutes until cooked.
- Serve on a plate and drizzle with the sauce.
