Spanish Wheat Tortillas Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups Wheat flour
- 1 cup White all purpose flour
- 1 cup Water (hot)
- 1/2 cup Lard
- 1 tsp. Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
Method
- Combine the salt, wheat flour, white all purpose flour, baking powder and lard.
- Knead the mixure until it forms a large smooth and soft dough.
- Then create about 10 equal sized balls of dough.
- Flatten each ball with a rolling pin.
- Heat a large pan over a steady medium heat, no oil is required.
- Add the tortillas and flip them until cooked on both sides.
