Spanish Wheat Tortillas Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Wheat flour
  • 1 cup White all purpose flour
  • 1 cup Water (hot)
  • 1/2 cup Lard
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

Method

  1. Combine the salt, wheat flour, white all purpose flour, baking powder and lard.
  2. Knead the mixure until it forms a large smooth and soft dough.
  3. Then create about 10 equal sized balls of dough.
  4. Flatten each ball with a rolling pin.
  5. Heat a large pan over a steady medium heat, no oil is required.
  6. Add the tortillas and flip them until cooked on both sides.
