Thai Style Shrimp with Fried Noodles Recipe
Ingredients
- 10 Shrimp (unpeeled)
- 1 lb. Dried rice vermicelli
- 2 cups Divided bean sprouts
- 3 tbl. Vegetable oil
- 1 tbl. Cilantro
- 1 tbl. Dried shrimp
- 1 tbl. Green onions (chopped)
- 1 tbl. Fish sauce
- 1 tbl. Ketchup
- 1 tbl. White sugar
- 1 tsp. Chilli powder
- 1 tsp. Garlic cloves (crushed)
- 2 Eggs (beaten)
- 2 Lemon wedges
Method
- Put the noodles in a large bowl filled with hot water and soak for about 15 minutes.
- Heat a large skillet over a medium / high heat with a little oil.
- Sauté the garlic until golden brown.
- Drop in the shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes.
- While stirring, add the ketchup, white sugar and fish sauce.
- Then pour in the beaten eggs while stirring.
- Add the noodles and stir fry them so they are well coated.
- Now add the bean sprouts and fry until they turn tender.
- Spoon onto a serving plate and garnish with a sprinkling of peanuts, chilli powder, chopped green onion and dried shrimp.
