Pan Fried Calamari Rings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Squid rings
  • 6 oz. Japanese bread crumbs
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne pepper
  • 3 Eggs
  • Cooking oil

Method

  1. Take a medium sized bowl and combine the salt, cayenne pepper and flour.
  2. Break the eggs into another bowl and beat them together.
  3. Place the breadcrumbs on a plate.
  4. Roll the calamari rings through the flour mix, then dip into the eggs.
  5. Now dredge through the breadcrumbs until totally covered.
  6. Heat a skillet with a little oil over a steady heat.
  7. Drop the calamari into the skillet and fry them until golden brown.
  8. Serve with a selection of your favourite dipping sauces.
