Fried Calamari Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. Squid
- 1 cup Pancake batter mix
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- Cold water
- Cooking oil
Method
- Cut the squid into 1/2 inch rings.
- Fill a bowl with ice and add the calamari.
- Prepare the pancake batter in a separate bowl, stirring while adding water.
- While stirring, add the salt.
- Heat a skillet over a steady medium heat with some oil.
- Dip the calamari in the batter.
- Drop the battered calamair in the skillet and fry until brown.
- Drain off any excess fat on paper towels.
- Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges and parsley.
