Deep Fried Squid Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Squid
  • 2 cups Plain flour
  • 3 tbl. Olive oil
  • 1 can Beer
  • 2 Egg yolks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon wedges

Method

  1. Take a mixing bowl and combine the beer, egg yolks, salt, pepper, plain flour and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Then roll the squid through flour, coating on all sides well.
  3. Heat a deep frier to about 350°F.
  4. Now dip the squid into the beer batter, coating well.
  5. Deep fry the battered squid for about 3 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  6. Serve on plates garnished with lemon wedges and crusty bread.
