Charcoal Grilled Squid Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 g. Squid
- 1/2 cup Coriander leaves
- 7 tbl. Fish sauce
- 2 tbl. Peanut oil
- 1 tbl. Salt
- 1 tbl. Lemongrass (chopped)
- 1 tbl. Soy sauce
- 1 tbl. Lime juice
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Curry powder
- 1 tsp. Five-spice powder
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
- 2 Garlic cloves (crushed)
Method
- Rub the squid with the salt, then rinse off under cold water.
- Cut the top of the squid diagonally on the inside surface.
- Now cut the squid into small bite-sized pieces.
- Set the prepared squid aside.
- Take a mixing bowl and mix the sugar, lime juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, lemongrass, curry powder, five-spice powder, peanut oil, garlic cloves and pepper.
- Now add the squid while stirring. Cover and refridgerate for an hour.
- Heat a charcoal grill, making sure there is a good smoke.
- Add the squid and grill until browned.
- Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges, coriander leaves and fish sauce dip.
