Shrimp served with Wild Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Shrimp
  • 1 1/2 cup White wine
  • 2 tbl. Parsley (chopped)
  • 2 pkg. Wild long grain rice
  • 1 Green pepper
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 dash Curry
  • 1 dash Dill
  • 1 dash Oregano
  • 1 dash Thyme
  • 1 Lemon (juiced)
  • Garlic powder

Method

  1. Sauté the pepper and onion in a frying pan over a steady heat.
  2. Then add the shrimp, lemon juice and spices.
  3. Cook the ingredients through until the shrimp goes pink.
  4. Then add the white wine and reduce the heat.
  5. Cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. While the shrimp cooks, cook the rice.
  7. Once the rice cooks, pour in the shrimp and wine mixture.
  8. Stir and garnish with a few lemon or lime slices.
