Shrimp Bisque Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Shrimp (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 tbl. Celery (chopped)
  • 2 tbl. Onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbl. Flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 quart half and half
  • Pepper
  • Pparsley (chopped)

Method

  1. Take a large pan over a steady heat and cook through the onions and celery in the butter.
  2. Then add the flour and season to taste.
  3. While stirring, add the half and half.
  4. Stir until the mixture thickens.
  5. Add the chopped shrimp and cook until pink.
  6. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
