Pan Fried Oysters with Bacon Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 Oysters (shelled)
  • 2/3 cup Onions (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Stock
  • 3 tbl. Oil
  • 1 tbl. Cornstarch
  • 1 tbl. Water
  • 1/2 tsp. Soy sauce
  • 3 Bacon slices
  • 1 Egg

Method

  1. Cut each bacon strip into 4 equally sized pieces.
  2. Wrap each oyster with a piece of bacon.
  3. Take a mxing bowl and combine the water and egg.
  4. Dip the oyster wraps in the egg mixture.
  5. In another mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, stock and soy sauce.
  6. Take a skillet and sauté the oysters until both sides are brown.
  7. Drain any excess fat off with paper towels.
  8. Add the chopped onions and fry until translucent.
  9. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir.
  10. Simmer for a minute or two.
  11. Serve hot, garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
