Oysters Rockefeller Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 Oysters (shucked)
  • 1/2 cup Spinach (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/8 cup Bread crumbs
  • 2 tbl. Celery (chopped)
  • 2 tbl. Onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbl. Parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 7 drops Red pepper sauce
  • 1 dash Ground arise
  • Rock salt

Method

  1. Fill the base of a large baking tray with a layer of rock salt.
  2. Place the oysters on the bed of rock salt.
  3. Take a saucepan over a steady heat and add the onions, celery and parsley.
  4. Cook until the onions are tender.
  5. Now add the spinach, bread crumbs, pepper sauce, ground arise and butter while stirring.
  6. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the mixture onto each oyster.
  7. Bake in an oven preheated to 450°F for about 10 minutes.
  8. Serve with a garnish of parsley and lemon wedges.
