Mississippi Fried Oysters Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 Oysters
- 2 cups Cornmeal
- 2 tbl. Flour
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Pepper
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- 2 Eggs (beaten)
Method
- Soak the oysters in the beaten eggs.
- Take a mixing bowl and combine the cornmeal, salt, pepper, sugar and flour.
- Roll the oysters through the flour mixture.
- Drop the oysters into a deep frier at 350°F.
- Fry until brown.
- Drain excess oil off using paper towels.
- Serve immediately.
