Diablo Style Oysters Recipe
Ingredients
- 36 Oysters (with shells)
- 1 can Mushrooms (chopped)
- 2 tbl. Flour
- 1 tbl. Butter
- 1 tbl. Worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Peppered mustard
- 1/2 tsp. Parsley (chopped)
- 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg
- 3 Shallots (chopped)
- 1 Egg yolk
- Cayenne pepper
- Cracker crumbs
Method
- Cook the shallots in a skillet over a steady heat with the butter.
- Once the oysters curl up, add the flour and brown off.
- Add in the nutmeg, cayenne, salt, mustard, parsley and worchestershire sauce.
- Remove from the heat and add the beaten egg yolk.
- Spoon out the mixture into the oyster shells.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 350°F for 15 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon.
