Batter Fried Oysters Recipe

Ingredients

  • 30 Oysters (drained)
  • 1 1/2 cup Flour
  • 2 tbl. Water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. Cayenne
  • 2 Eggs
  • Vegetable oil
  • Horseradish sauce

Method

  1. Preheat oil in a deep frier to 375°F.
  2. Combine the horseradish sauce, eggs, water, flour, pepper, cayenne and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Roll the oysters through the mixture.
  4. Place the oysters on a baking sheet and allow to sit for a few minutes.
  5. Then drop the oysters into the deep frier for about 3 minutes.
  6. Lift out and dry with kitchen roll.
  7. Serve immediately.
