Barbecued (BBQ) Oysters with Shiitakes Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 Oysters (shucked)
- 1 tbl. Hoi sin sauce
- 1 tbl. Chinese oyster sauce
- 2 tsp. Ketchup
- 12 medium Shiitake caps
- 1/2 Serrano Chilli (seeded / chopped)
- Olive oil
Method
- Cobine the hoi sin sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce and serrano chilli in a large mixing bowl.
- Brush the mushrooms with olive oil.
- Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 325°F for about 3 minutes.
- Roll the oysters in the sauce mixture.
- Remove the shiitake mushrooms from the oven and place an oyster on each cap.
- Return to the oven and cook for a further 6 minutes.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately.
- Use the sauce as a dip if you want.
