Barbecued (BBQ) Oysters with Shiitakes Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 Oysters (shucked)
  • 1 tbl. Hoi sin sauce
  • 1 tbl. Chinese oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp. Ketchup
  • 12 medium Shiitake caps
  • 1/2 Serrano Chilli (seeded / chopped)
  • Olive oil

Method

  1. Cobine the hoi sin sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce and serrano chilli in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Brush the mushrooms with olive oil.
  3. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in an oven preheated to 325°F for about 3 minutes.
  5. Roll the oysters in the sauce mixture.
  6. Remove the shiitake mushrooms from the oven and place an oyster on each cap.
  7. Return to the oven and cook for a further 6 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
  9. Use the sauce as a dip if you want.
