Thai Style Steamed Mussels Recipe
Ingredients
- 5 lb. Mussels (cleaned)
- 13 oz. Coconut milk
- 2 cups Cilantro
- 1/3 cup White wine
- 1/3 cup Lime juice
- 1 1/2 tbl. Thai red curry paste
- 1 1/2 tbl. Garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 tbl. White sugar
- 1 tbl. Fish sauce
Method
- Add the coconut milk, lime juice, crushed garlic, fish sauce, curry paste, white wine and sugar to a large cooking pot.
- Cover the pot and bring it to a boil for 2 minutes.
- Then add the mussels, reduce heat and steam the mussels until they all open.
- If you find some mussels will not open, remove them.
- Pour the mussels and sauce into a serving bowl.
- Toss in some cilantro and serve immediately.
