Simple Steamed Mussels Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 lb. Mussels (cleaned)
  • 1 Garlic clove (crushed)
  • 1 Onion (chopped)

Method

  1. Drop the cleaned mussels into a large cooking pot.
  2. Add the chopped onions and crushed garlic over the mussels.
  3. Sprinkle with a tiny little bit of water.
  4. Cover the pot and cook over a high heat until all the mussels are open.
  5. If you see any that do not open, throw them away.
  6. Serve with a garnish of lemon juice and chopped parsley.
