Butter Steamed Mussels Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 lb. Mussels (cleaned)
- 3/4 cup White wine
- 1/2 cup Parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 cup Shallots (chopped)
- 2 tbl. Butter
- Black pepper
Method
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and sauté the shalots.
- Once sautéd, add the wine and mussels.
- Raise the heat enough to steam the mussels for about 5 minutes, or until the shells open.
- If some of the shells don't open, remove them.
- Pour the mussels and the butter sauce into a serving bowl.
- Garnish with black pepper and chopped pepper before serving.
