Pan Fried Catfish in Beer Batter Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Catfish fillets
  • 2 cups Self-raising flour
  • 1 cup Beer
  • Vegetable oil
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic and beer.
  2. Cut the catfish fillets into strips.
  3. Roll each strip through the batter.
  4. Heat a skillet with a little vegetable oil and fry the battered catfish until golden brown.
  5. Drain off any excess fat using paper towels.
  6. Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges.
