Pan Fried Catfish in Beer Batter Recipe
Ingredients
- 12 oz. Catfish fillets
- 2 cups Self-raising flour
- 1 cup Beer
- Vegetable oil
- Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
Method
- In a mixing bowl combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic and beer.
- Cut the catfish fillets into strips.
- Roll each strip through the batter.
- Heat a skillet with a little vegetable oil and fry the battered catfish until golden brown.
- Drain off any excess fat using paper towels.
- Serve with a garnish of lemon wedges.
