Deep Fried Catfish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Catfish fillets
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper

Method

  1. First, heat a deep frier to 375°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the salt, pepper and flour.
  3. Dredge the catfish fillets through the flour mixture, covering all sides.
  4. Then dip the fillets in the beaten eggs.
  5. Now roll through the breadcrumbs, covering the fillets completely.
  6. Drop the bread crumbed fillets into the deep frier and fry until golden brown.
  7. Lift out onto paper towels and dry off excess fat before serving.
